...I feel so behind with booking different things for the wedding considering my friend Danielle has ALL of hers main stuff booked already. lol It's a little funny that our colors schemes are about all within the same color family yet so different.
...I am dead set on my colors. Which I am very shocked. Usually with anything, I can never make up my mind. So I'm crossing my fingers I can find bridesmaid dresses I like in that color.
...My brothers don't have the slightest clue that they will have to dance in a hog trough. lol They're in for a surprise.
...Caterer is booked.
...Photographer is booked! :)
...Todd is making a few things for the wedding. ---> Am I leaving you in suspense? I'm keeping this little secret until the wedding!
...Pinning has officially taken over my life. So many neat ideas on Pinterest!
...Just realized ALL my ramblings today is all about the wedding!

Photos from the weekend
Mike and I on Thanksgiving. Ignore my hair, I was in the process of curling it so it was only half curled. lol Looks a little goofy but it's the only picture I have of us on that day.
Finally got the Christmas tree finished. Love my peacock theme!
Jake cheesin' it up!
I told him to stand up for the picture and this was what I got. lol

Weekend Wrap Up
Wednesday
I'll start with Wednesday night of the long Thanksgiving weekend and you'll see why! :) On my way home from work I got a call from one of my besties wanting me to be in her wedding! Yay! So I can now let the cat out of the bag with the engagement of Danielle and Brad. Wedding is going to be August 18th, cannot wait! That was the highlight of my night.
Thursday
Such a beautiful day for Thanksgiving. Mike and I headed to my grandma and grandpa's Thanksgiving dinner. It's so hard to get the whole family there at one time, so it wasn't even half of us. So grateful for the life of my grandparents with their health and capability to still be able to prepare a big meal for their family. Grandma always out does herself. That afternoon we headed to Mike's aunt Diane's house for Thanksgiving. We ended up staying later than normal so I got to spoil little Miss Madison while everyone cleaned up, which also got me out of cleaning! :) Came home and watched some tv, pretty much played lazy since we were both stuffed from two big dinners. I was just about to fall asleep when Mike came in with a box and popped the question. It was dark so I thought he was joking at first until the light came on. So I was very surprised. No wonder he was a little quiet all day which is exactly what he does when he is nervous. lol
Friday
My head was spinning with ideas, etc. so I got very little sleep. I think all my friends knew by 7:30. lol I was a little antsy on getting the word out. Probably a good thing since the future father-in-law told everyone in site by 10 that morning. I think he was just a little excited! I had called my grandma and grandpa to tell them before anyone else got the news to them (since it was already out on facebook with people commenting on my wall! lol Got to love facebook). Grandma said I made her day which after the week they had, I was happy to bring some joy into their life. I also got a dress appointment booked for the 17th of December. Crossing my fingers I will just need that one day to find the dress. Jake came over for a little bit while Steve was helping Randy and Mike. I had to get on to him for touching the tree and ornaments. Later he said he wasn't touching it just petting it. lol Little stinker! That evening I wasn't too hungry but Mike was so he was brave to attempt food at Kittys. We barely got in the door and his dad was in there eating peanuts telling everyone to look at what was holding down my finger. Afterwards we went to Mike's parents house so his mom could see the ring on my finger. (She's already seen it and knew for quite some time along with his sister, Lisa and grandma) So we talked wedding stuff a little. Then headed to a wedding reception in town for a little bit.
Saturday
Mom came over so we could do some Christmas shopping at the lake. We stopped at Tuscumbia so mom could show me where her step-grandma used to live at. Ate at the Mexican restaurant across from the outlet. Can't remember the name, but it's my favorite. lol I love getting their spinach and chicken chimi! We always end up picking a raining day when shopping at the lake. Almost never fails. I was able to find ribbon for my Christmas tree to finish it up. That evening we went up town for the annual Christmas celebration or whatever it's called. They always have the antique store open with a band playing inside. Free hotdogs, brats, popcorn, hot wine (yuck - doesn't even sound good) and hot apple cider. Live nativity scene and a wagon ride which the weather canceled that part. The bank also opened it's door and provided free mix drinks. lol I thought that was odd. It was extremely cold so we didn't stay too long.
Sunday
I headed to a friend, Kristina's house to help paint around 10. I did NOT dress for it. I dressed warm but not warm enough since I was unaware we would be outside in her shed painting. lol At least she bought to large heaters on black Friday so once they were put together it wasn't as bad. Ended up staying until about 3 or so. Lindsay was there so she supplied me with several bridal magazines which has been passed through many people. Came home to Randy grilling pork tenderloin so I didn't have to worry about supper. Made my night so I could get caught up on laundry.
Sorry if this weekend is mostly about wedding talk, etc. It's already consuming my life! So just a warning it will probably consume almost all my posts from now until wedding.

Wednesday Ramblings
Had a little time this morning so I took advantage to blog a little before getting seven papers out to press today. Going to be a long day so hopefully it goes by fast!
...Last weekend I bought my Christmas tree and ended up putting it up that night. I wanted a big tree, well I got one - it's a 7.5 footer! Would have went bigger if my ceiling would allow it. :) It's almost done just wanting to find a pretty brown ribbon to wrap around it along with a few green ornaments to tie it all in. Found some awesome glitter branches at Gordmans with peacock feathers as my tree topper. I love it! My favorite store for home decor!
...Mom and I ended up running into Mike's family in Springfield twice. lol We had planned to eat lunch together but all of us were too busy shopping and let time get the better half of us.
...Going to do a little shopping again this weekend with mom at the Lake. I think I'm more excited to eat at the Mexican Restaurant there.
...So glad today is my Friday! :) I wish I didn't have to use a paid personal day for Friday, but that's how it is with almost all jobs. Too bad every week wasn't a three day work week, I could get used to this!
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Weekend Wrap Up
Just a heads up, I am flying solo this week at work so this will probably be my last post for the next two weeks since next week will be crazy with holiday deadlines.
Friday
Mike and I went to Kittys to eat supper and stayed til about 10. It wasn't very packed like the years before on deer season eve. Mike ended up getting sick from the food and I did as well the next day. So we won't be eating there for a LONG time, not to mention it didn't taste the greatest either (may be why we got sick lol).
Saturday
Did some cleaning and went hunting with Mike that evening. We saw one doe that evening which Mike shot at 3 times and MISSED. He should of let me shoot, I don't think I could have done any worse. lol But I have to give him some credit, it was very windy and it wasn't pretty far away.
Sunday
Ate chicken at Mike's mom and dads for dinner. Went back out hunting once again. Didn't see a thing, but heard at least 10 shots all around us. Was hoping that luck would have came our way. I was wanting to shoot a doe! Yea, a nice rack would be nice but lets face it, the doe's meat taste much much better. :)
Week Ahead...
Monday - May go watch Mike bowl depending on work.
Tuesday - Staying with mom and dad
Wednesday - Staying with mom and dad
Thursday - Staying with mom and dad. Seeing a pattern? I think I will be homesick by the third day, but I will be working late most likely so it just doesn't justify driving an hour verses 12 minutes to just go home and sleep to come right back to work.
Friday - Home at last. :) Probably will just stay home unless something comes up.
Saturday - Shopping with mom in Springfield. Mike's aunts, cousins, mom, sister and baby Madison will all be up there the same day. I'm sure we will be bound to run into them somewhere. Hoping to purchase a nice big tree.

Recipe to share
Mom and I have tried to recreate this devouring dish and never seem to find a good recipe for it. Today we had food day here at work where a co-worker, Marcia brought in white chile. It was divine! So good that it was a must to share this recipe with you.
White Chile
2 chopped medium onions
2-4 oz. cans chopped mild green chilies
4 minced garlic cloves or 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
5 cans 16oz. Great Northern white beans (undrained)
4 to 5 cups of chicken broth
4 cups chopped cooked chicken breast
3 cups grated Monterrey Jack cheese
Saute onions in oil or butter for 10 minutes. Stir in garlic and chilies, add cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper and saute for 10 more minutes. Add undrained beans, chicken stock-bring to boil reduce heat add chicken and cheese. Cook until cheese melts or simmer until ready to serve.
Enjoy! :)

Wednesday Ramblings
...Mike's birthday is tomorrow. His last year of being in his 20s... such an old fart!
...May sit out in the stand at least once this weekend (or year lol) if I have the patience. Usually I never go but once in a great while, too time consuming for me and the least of my priorities! :) I'll probably go if we can get the good deer stand so we can sit comfortably, warm and eat peanuts. Kind of a tradition.
...It's also tradition for everyone to go to Kitty's the night before opening day, so that's where we'll be Friday evening. Hope their food/service is better than the last time we were there.
...Liking this time change. I wake up each morning feeling refreshed and not as tired.

Family Pictures
I was expecting Chad to pick me up like he's done in the past A LOT, to my surprise Todd knocked me into Chad. Glad my cousin Krissi was able to capture this photo in the moment. Oh you got to love other brothers!
A quick family photo before Chad left. We look a little hickish with the brothers looking shaggy with their beards for the winter/hunting wear and dad has a mouth full of chew, gross!
Weekend Wrap Up
Friday
Ended up working late so we just stayed in since I wasn't feeling the greatest with allergies and Mike had to help with turkeys early the next day. Seems to be a pattern with this allergy crap to fall on weekends here lately. Not liking it.
Saturday
Still wasn't feeling the greatest, but since I couldn't sleep worth a darn I went ahead and made myself clean the house and bake two pumpkin pies for Sunday. Ended up putting out my Christmas decor besides the tree. Still have yet to purchase one and lights for the house. That afternoon we attended a wedding reception in town. We could have went ahead and made it to a hayride to help celebrate a friend, Derek's 30th birthday, but again I was still feeling like crap so that wasn't an option. Didn't end up staying very long at the reception.
Sunday
Allergy free at last! :) Mike and I headed to my mom and dads for a big family dinner to help my grandpa Feeler celebrate his 87th birthday. My brother, Chad left early to go for training in Kentucky for a possible job. You would think he was leaving for war with the way my grandparents was acting with all the hugs/concerns. It was a good day spent with family. Stopped at Mike's mom and dads on the way home where Mike became Jake's play mate, he loves his Mike. He talked him into playing catch with a tomato. lol Surprisingly it last through several rounds of catch. Fixed supper then watched a few Sunday evening shows.

Neat Costume
I had to share this picture with you. These two kids came trick-or-treating at my work Monday as sock monkey parents pushing their sock monkey babies. Clever! They're mom was with them and she made the costumes all by hand which took her two months to make.
As I used to say when I was little, "It's purdy cutes!".
As I used to say when I was little, "It's purdy cutes!".
Wednesday Ramblings
...We had lots of trick-or-treaters Monday night. I ran out of candy within 30 minutes so I felt bad having to turn out our lights early. Have to make sure I buy more for next year. Guess next year I should dress as a scrooge! :)
...I've been splurging on laundry detergent with getting Tide Febreze Sport. I love it! Although this last time I went back to the cheaper $5 route. I so regretted it. So back to Tide it is!
...CanNOT believe it's November already!
...This weekend we're celebrating my grandpa's 87th birthday. He made a point last week to tell me it was his birthday (just like a little kid reminding people). lol
...This Saturday we have a wedding to attend for Kyle Heckemeyer and Amy Luttrell. Should be the last wedding for the year!
...Had to break out my corn bag to heat up here at work this week. Sure keeps you warm for long periods of time.
...Kris Humphries is a big butt! - For those of you that aren't a reality geek like I am, he is the soon-to-be ex of Kim Kardashian. I honestly don't know why she married him in the first place.
...I highly dislike the new facebook. It doesn't update like it should. How am I suppose to be a creeper? :)
...Loving Miranda Lambert's new CD.
...Not looking forward to the time change. I know it's only for one day, but if affects me for weeks after. I always think of things like 'gee I could be off work by now if the time didn't change', etc.
