School's food

Call me crazy, but I REALLY miss Vienna school lunches. Not many people can say that about their schools' food. Although I never understood the nasty looking ketchup with macaroni, yuck! One thing I came to love was Frito Pie! What a better way to use up left over chili but to revamp it a little. Which is exactly what I plan to do this week since I can never seem to make a small batch. It's just impossible in my book.

I could really go for some country fried steak right now with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy with the devouring rolls! :)

Wednesday Ramblings

...This weekend is Mike and I's first time going to Oktoberfest in Herman. Every year we always have something going on about every weekend in October.

...Where has September gone?

...I really wish tires were a lot cheaper. Not to mention I have 17" tires (aka truck tires) on my Edge so that means more $$. Yuck! I bet you can't guess where my next paycheck is going!?

...I'm loving my Jordan Essentials makeup. It's feels so light on.

...Tonight I have two little munchkins, little Ms. Kylie and little Mr. Jake while everyone else is stuck bowling. With these two little characters, there won't be a dull moment in my house.

...Today is 25¢ for a 20oz. cappuccino. THANK YOU CARDINALS!!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday
After work I went to Dustin's house where his girlfriend, Natasha was buying my bench I had for sell. Been awhile since I'd been there nor seen them, so we did a lot of catching up. Just like old times. Mike picked up Kittys for supper and it was an early night.

Saturday
Before the wedding we went to a birthday party where Mike's dad was frying up chicken. Nothing beats fried chicken in a kettle. Delicious! A distant cousin of Mike's was getting married, Katie. It was a beautiful wedding and a gorgeous day for it. I 'borrowed' this picture off her facebook page.
The wedding party's tables where set up neat with wood fence. They also had mason jar wine glasses.

Sunday
We headed to Nathan's birthday party. I cannot believe this little guy is already 2!
Here is some party pics.

Did some laundry while Mike put together our table and chairs. Pictures to come soon. Randy grilled some pork burgers and pork chops. I told him over the weekend that we need to sign a contract with him that he can only live so many feet from us, since he's our Sunday cook. I think he thought I was joking. lol

Bargain

You can't beat a bargain. I got these for my cousin who is due next week at JCPenney. My total: $6.65. Cha-ching!

Sleeper - $4.20
Onsie - $1.97

Saved $17.89 :)

Jordan Essentials

Here's my Jordan Essentials' goodies I received. Not all of this was free items, I ran out of a few things, which I cannot live without the dead sea salts. So I got the bigger size this time. One new thing I found that I love is the oatmeal complexion bar. Still have yet to try my salt scrub and mineral makeup.

Camera settings

While driving this morning I thought I would try out the sunset camera settings to see if there was a difference. I get bored on my long drives to work. :) It's not a real pretty sunset, but I just wanted to get the jest of how my settings were.

Original photo with auto setting.

Sunrise setting, take one.

Sunset setting, take two.

The third one is way over-rated! lol Still makes for a pretty picture even though it exaggerates a LOT in what it really looked like with using a sunset setting on a sunrise.

New addition

I've been forgetting to blog about the newest addition to Mike's family, little Miss Madison Abigail. Mike's cousin, Jennifer had her on September 9th. I still have yet to see this precious little girl. No one could see her but her parents and the exception of the grandparents the first week and half of her life. She had fluid go into her lungs during delivery. Poor baby. Luckily her and momma are doing just fine and finally at home. Hopefully next week I will be able to blog about the newest addition to my side of the family.

Wednesday Ramblings

...I am still loving this weather. Favorite time of the year. FaLL

...Time for soup and chili. I could live off soup for the winter/fall if I had it my way!

...We're getting our table today. It's been in for over a week and we've either not had time to pick it up or it's been raining cats and dogs! Luckily Mike has an awesome cousin, Matt who is going it pick it up on his way home from work. He may be a very ornery cousin, but at least he is good for something! :) Good thing he doesn't read my blog or he may have my hide!

...We brought my old table already to mom and dads. Sure seems different in the kitchen without it. I thought it would seem bigger, but it doesn't. With our new table we may have to move the hutch to the living room. Which I don't want, but may not have a choice. Shucks!

...I have to miss molasses this Saturday at grandma and grandpas yet again. This is the third year in a row I've had to miss it for a wedding.

...I'm gone a little blog post happy this week. May stay this way for awhile since I can actually take pictures that are worth posting. :)

City

I finally got my first issue of the Jefferson City magazine. I love. Apparently in an older post where I said I had looked online where it was located at and it turned out to be Columbia. Well of course obviously it is in fact in Jeff City located at Business Times. Duh April, maybe it's printed in Columbia. Which that makes sense. So for you Jeff City buffs, Business Times is located on High Street so I'm assuming that is where the News Tribune or another paper is located as well!? I'm really really unsure of working in Jeff City. I hate the traffic, parking, etc! It would be nice to produce something like a magazine all the time. Now back to the real world... even if I was to apply, get hired and get the job. That doesn't mean I will just be doing magazines, I'm sure it would apply to the newspaper as well. Blah. I am so trying to get away from newspaper print.

Why wasn't I an heir to some big wig company like a MAGAZINE!? :)

Green Hornet

Sunday evening I watched the Green Hornet on HBO. I wasn't too sure about it since I know I heard of it but couldn't remember see any previews. Figured it may be good since it had Seth Rogen in it. Well it was. I laughed and laughed the whole time. I wished I would have recorded it and so did Mike, since he was in the other room watching Nascar - boring. Seth Rogen reminds me of my cousin Tim with his looks and his laugh. I text my brother Todd since this movie was right up his alley and told him about Tim being a Seth look-a-like. He agreed! lol

Birthday tradition

For no rhyme or reason, we always end up sitting in the same spot each year. Grandma had skin cancer removed from her nose so that's why she looks a little rough.

Blowing out the candles. Grandma didn't get that memo as she is still smiling pretty for the camera. :)

Grandma loves getting quirky things that make her laugh. My aunt katie found this laughing dog, it was hysterical and perfect gift for grandma

Not sure on this one. I think Lizzie told me to smile and I was getting impatient as she was taking FOREVER! lol

Here's the video of the laughing dog. I haven't replayed it and can't here at work to see if you can actually hear it or just everyone else laughing. lol

Baby Shower

Kaden got to open a present as well. His birthday was last Friday, the 16th.

Cheeeese. He always asks me my name every time he sees me. So this time when he did, I asked him what his name was. His response: Kaden Michael Fearrrr (Feeler) lol
I was trying different settings so I messed up on this picture. But hey, it still beats the old crappy camera any day.

New Camera

Here is a picture of what my camera looks like only it's silver, not tan. I love it! I haven't played around too much with it yet. It has different settings to use like for snow, rain, food, portraits, and TONS more.

Mike and I aren't the type to constantly take self portraits of ourselves but I wanted to try it out. :)

Take one.

Take two was a mistake. lol Didn't realize you could actually take a picture from just touching the screen instead of just the button on the top.

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday
I went to Sarah's house for a Tupperware party. A nice evening visiting with the girls while enjoying some good food. Came home to an early birthday present from Mike, a new camera! I was a little shocked he remembered the brand of camera I wanted. It's a Nikon Coolpix with a touchscreen.

Saturday
Mike, Randy and I headed to a wedding in Westphalia for Wyatt & Liz Voss. We didn't make it in time for the wedding since they didn't get back in time from hauling Lisa's car to the junk yard. After we arrived there was a constant traffic of sirens with ambulance after ambulance. We learned there was a bad wreck just a mile from there. It was a little hard to enjoy the happy wedding celebrating two people coming together knowing just up the road there was at least one person dead. We ended up leaving the reception a little early and headed back home.

Sunday
Birthday celebration day! It's tradition for our family to always have Sunday dinner to celebrate my grandma and I's birthday. I always feel so stupid now that I am older with celebrating it. I know that if it wasn't for my grandma still being alive that it would only be celebrated with just my immediate family. But I need to look at it as a blessing since I won't have my grandma forever to share our special holiday together. I think it's more the fact I don't want my older cousins to have resentment towards me with having big birthdays still where as they don't. I know it's silly, but I don't like the feeling of people feeling like that even if they aren't. We also had a surprise baby shower for my cousin Krissi who is due a week from today. Can't wait to meet little Kaleb Russell Feeler. I was secretly hoping he would have arrived on grandma's birthday, which was Sunday.

Monday
BiRTHDAY! Monday was a "me" day. It felt just like any other day. Got a lot done around the house including moving the living room furniture around. I think I moved it around about 5 times before finally deciding. I am so my mother's child! Mike had a dentist appointment which he had to wait about an hour just to get in so we skipped going out to eat. I went ahead and fixed chili then we headed to the farm to enjoy the nice weather and to check and feed the cows. Ended the evening watching the new Two and Half Men, which I am not a fan or supporter of Charlie Sheen at all. The new show with Ashton didn't seem too bad at all.

Wednesday Ramblings

...So looking forward to my three day weekend. To me my birthday is just another day, but it will be so nice to have Monday off and not be at work.

...My goal for the end of this month is to get all the paint touch ups done. I am so embarrassed I put it off this long and it needs done asap.

...Really wanting a new job in a different field like NOW! lol Not sure what!? Everything out there I am either not qualified for or it pays less. Ready for a work change. With that said, I am going to cut this rambling short so I can get back to work. Blah.

Quote of the day

This has been a hectic week and it's only day #2. So ready for Friday at 5!

Serving tray

Last month when mom and I went shopping I bought this serving tray at Kohls. I did get it on sale, but it was still a little pricey. I love it and it will come in handy with my grandma's delicious cheese balls.

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday
Mike and I took Jake with us to the Truck & Tractor Pull since Steve had to bowl and his momma was working. I was a little skeptical on going since it was a torrential down pour at our house, but felt confident it would clear up. Plus hoping we wouldn't be one of those people who take a little kid to suffer in the wet and cold. lol On our way there we saw the most beautiful rainbow I have EVER seen. I couldn't get the greatest photo to capture the beauty of it. You could see the entire thing and it was so full of color. I ranted and raved about it, forever. Which probably got a little old after I awhile, but I didn't care it was breath taking, literally. Mike tried to steer Jake for the excitement of the big tractors we were about to see. He wasn't having it, he was in awe of the rainbow as well. He's my kind of kid.

Here's a few photos, again the pictures are horrible. I so need a new camera. Hmmm... I do believe someone has a birthday coming up. :)

Finally after paying a fortune to get in, the rain had stopped. But by the time we walked up to the pavilion it started to rain yet again. It was so packed and little miserable trying to wait out the rain. Luckily after a couple of hours it finally let up enough to start the pull and Jake was a little wore out which worked to my advantage. He made a nice blanket while watching the tractors. :) We ended up leaving before the truck pull started since Mike had to work the next day and Steve was done bowling.

Saturday
I got up too early to start cleaning the house and tackling laundry. Come to think of it now I should have slept in. Made a few desserts for Sunday and again more cleaning.

Sunday
Sunday was party day. Finished up my appetizers and waited for everyone to start showing up. I'm not sure why I was so nervous, but I was. Didn't invite too many since I wasn't sure how much my house would hold and the fact that I don't want people to feel force to buy, I hate that feeling. I've mentioned before and I am mentioning it again (For I am Arch Feeler's granddaughter so I am allowed to repeat myself several times throughout my life. It's a golden rule.) that Mike's sister Lisa is now a consultant for Jordan Essentials. She did a great job and the party was a success. It was so nice to see everyone and to catch up on everyone's busy lives. I made way too much food. Guess it's better to have more than not enough. After everyone left I pigged out on some cheese ball, watched 9/11 stories and called it a night.

After ten years of the 9/11 tragedy this weekend was full of remembrance, embrace and one we will never forget.

Wednesday Ramblings

...Hard to believe the 10th anniversary is coming up this Sunday for 9/11. I remember where I was to a "t". When I first heard about it was on the radio my way to school in mom's car just as we were passing by my friend Kindra's house. It was so surreal to think about. When I got to school teachers were crying, tvs were on and life as we knew it would never be the same in America. I didn't understand the full aftermath until I was watching it on TV then to hear and see ANOTHER plane hit. So sad to think about with the lives lost and those final moments. It will definitely be a day I won't ever forget, nor anyone else in our country.

...I posted a few weeks ago that my Scentsy was coming in. Well... it's still not here! August was swarmed with orders all over the country since they brought back bars and bars were being discontinued. Can't wait to get it in so my house can smell even better! I just got word it should be in Friday. Crossing my fingers!

...I love dark chocolate!

...Work is yet again starting to pick back up. Darn it.

...Last week we got an obituary for an elderly man with the name, Atholl. It's pronounced exactly how you think it would be. lol No wonder he went by a nickname. Poor man.

...It's already that time of the year for Mike's bowling leagues to start back up. First game is this Friday. Luckily he doesn't bowl so we can go to the St. Anthony Truck & Tractor Pull.

...I AM LOVING THIS WEATHER! :)

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday
Mike and I headed to eat supper at Kittys and to celebrate a surprise birthday party for a friends' dad.

Saturday
We headed to a wedding in St. Thomas for Justin & Becky Otto. Turned out to be a beautiful day for it despite the heat.

Sunday
The day started out a little cold and cloudy. It still didn't stop us from going floating for our annual Jon Boat float trip. I had on sweat pants, shorts and a shirt over my swimming suit and a tank top. lol Luckily after an hour or so of being on the water the sun came out. I didn't bring any sunscreen nor did anyone else so we are all paying for it today. Aloe has been my best friend the past few days. :) We had a lot of fun and ready to do it again next year! I think we spent more time floating back up than anything. Literally! Good thing two of the Jon boats had motors on them and one had a trolley motor. lol Or we would have got NO WHERE! There was another group floating on Jon boats. They didn't have any motors just the power of their arms with their oars. Made it to the first gravel bar and they decided to head back to where they started. lol

Monday
Played lazy the whole morning then finally tackled the mounds of laundry from over the weekend. Took a break and headed to Mike's mom and dads where his dad was frying fish. That evening Randy barbequed pork steaks for everyone. It's nice to live in town and have a great BBQ guy live across the street. lol
