Are there any sushi lovers out there?
Thursday my mom, Shelley and I are going to be brave and try it out for lunch. I'm a little unsure about this and hope my stomach can hold it down. Luckily for me, Thursdays are my slowest days at work. lol My question to you is, what would you recommend for first timers? Not sure if any of my readers eat or have ever eaten sushi, but if you have please tell me your thoughts on it! I'm sure I will like it, I think!? Maybe I'll just stick to the non raw fish rolls. :)
When the three of us went to St. Louis for Ree's booking signing, we stopped in at the Galleria Mall. There was a girl eating sushi there at the food court. It was all she could do to hold it down. So every time I think of sushi now, I think of that girl about to barf it all back up. lol Lets just hope we don't have that same experience. Fingers crossed!
I'll have to do a follow-up post later this week!
LOL I had forgot about that girl! Now I can't get her out of my mind. I hope we enjoy the experience we will have to be sure to have a camera to caputre our first sushi experience.

ReplyDeleteWe drove past the restaurant last night and I told your dad you, Shelley and I were eating sushi there for lunch Thursday. He goes,
ReplyDelete"at the Hush Bar?" I'm like, huh? He said the Hush Bar!! Dwayne, it says sushi. He still insisted it said Hush Bar and was going to turn around and go back to show me!!
So, guess it's off to the "Hush Bar" tomorrow with April and Shelley!! lol
I will try anything once...and if I don't like it I'll try it again to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke. That being said I've "tried" sushi probably 3-4 times. Everyone raves about it, but I just don't have the acquired taste for it I guess - I haven't really liked it any time I've tried it.......Let me know how it goes for you all!
ReplyDeleteI love sushi!! I would try a rainbow roll, or a spicy tuna if you can stand a little heat. Or start with a california roll. That is about as mild & cooked as you can get to get used to it. A Philly roll is good too if you like cream cheese. I miss it terribly in Vegas because it was fresh & they had great buffets so you could try a bunch of different things. Not sure about the places around here. Let us know how it goes!
