24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks.  Ignore the no makeup look! :)
Total weight gain/loss: ?? Go to the doctor next week in Jeff.
Maternity clothes? Yes. It's so hard to find good maternity clothes that don't look so 'maternity/old lady looking'.  Not much out there. I did find a website, pinkblushmaternity.com where I got the dress below.  I could wear it everyday, it's so comfortable!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Some
Best moment this week: Baby loves music! Danced in my belly during the whole reception for Mike's cousins wedding yesterday.  At first my stomach was sore, guess the baby calmed down a little after getting used to the loud music.
Miss Anything? Coffee and soda.
Movement: Lots.
Food cravings: No cravings that I can think of.  My favorite food right now is a big bowl of Honey Nut cereal with bananas cut up in it, the box only lasted me three days.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Have you started to show yet: Yep, it's officially been a hand magnet!  A cousin of Mike's,  daughter Keely had to constantly touch my belly.  She confirms it's a baby girl, the size of her baby doll right now and loves to talk (as she put her ear up to my belly and said the baby was talking to her). :)
Gender: Unknown.  Everyone's guesses at the wedding was split about 50/50.  Carrying high - girl.  Belly is up and down and not side to side (like a barrel) - boy.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? In. Although my belly button is slowly making it's way to being even with my belly.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: My next doctor's appointment.

At Matt & Whitney Holtmeyer's wedding!

22 Weeks

How far along? 22 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 6 pounds since being pregnant.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Getting better
Best moment this week: Probably seeing the baby on the ultrasound.... very stubborn baby and wouldn't turn over for anything, so we could get a profile picture.
Miss Anything? Coffee
Movement: Few kicks here and there.
Food cravings: Nothing this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Gender: Unknown. We for sure can't guess with the heart rate. Tuesday the heart rate was 165, then 135 for the Dr. in Columbia. For the most part, it's been staying pretty low.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Sleep!

20 Weeks.... HALF WAY THERE!!!

How far along? 20 weeks.    Few days late posting! :)
Total weight gain/loss: ??
Maternity clothes? Yep. Didn't expect my belly to grow this low, so its making it harder and harder to wear my regular jeans when I can.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Still needs work... maybe I can when the baby gets here! Ha!
Best moment this week: Couldn't sleep, baby has been keeping me entertained with little jabs and nudges late at night. Feels like there is a mini party in my belly.
Miss Anything? Cappuccino
Movement: Jabs and nudges.... mostly at night when I'm ready for sleep!
Food cravings: I think I had my official cravings the past week. I really wanted pickles and chocolate milk. Didn't have any pickles so I settled for just chocolate milk. Last night at 9, I was very tempted to drive to Jeff for some sherbet ice cream.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not that I can recall.
Have you started to show yet: Yep, looks like I swallowed a small kickball.
Gender: Unknown. Found out over the weekend many thought my profile picture was the most up to date photo revealing the gender. It's the best ultrasound picture we have and it's from 10-12 weeks, so no gender revealing there! :) Doctors office now gives me pictures from the waist up. Go back next week, so more pictures!!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: The weekend and doctors appointment next week. If I can remember, I will try to record it on my phone. Really wished I would have the first appointment in Columbia. Baby was very entertaining!

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 weeks.   Wish I wouldn't have been sick last week making me miss my 18 week update... seems like an on going thing these past few weeks. Hopefully it will rain this week and clear all the allergens in the air.
Total weight gain/loss: 2lbs. as of last week at my doctors appointment in Jeff, which everything went great! Back on track and baby appears healthy and quite the wiggle worm!
Maternity clothes? Occasionally.  Thought I could get by with regular jeans for a lot longer. This past week has proven I need to go shopping. The zipper lining was literally coming out of my jeans! lol
Stretch marks? No, been faithfully putting on Palmers in the morning and occasionally Mothers Friend on at night since it's oily.
Sleep: Sleeping has improved, but still not the greatest.
Best moment this week: Been feeling some flutters here and there. Won't be long and I'll wish those little jabs and kicks were just flutters! :)
Miss Anything? Cappuccino
Movement: Few flutters every now and then.
Food cravings: Maybe bananas? Wish they kept longer, which Mike's been eating just as much.  He's the one having most of the cravings and appetite gain. lol
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not that I can recall. Smoke bothers me, but it did before pregnancy as well.
Have you started to show yet: Yep, no longer rocking the beer gut as co-workers pointed out this week to me.
Gender: Could have found out last week, but we chose not to.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: The weekend, luckily it falls on my half day Friday so it will be a 3.5 day weekend for me!

17 Weeks

How far along? 17 weeks and 1 day.   Wish I wouldn't have been sick last week making me miss my 16 week update.
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure, go to the doctors tomorrow and Wednesday.
Maternity clothes? Occasionally.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Same... still not sleeping the greatest.
Best moment this week: Starting to show more and it's looking less like I have an old man's beer gut! lol
Miss Anything? Cappuccino
Movement: Not yet.
Food cravings: Nothing that I can recall
Anything making you queasy or sick: Strong smells of anything.
Have you started to show yet: Yep
Gender: Up in the air... now that I want a girl for sentimental reasons, I have a feeling it will be a boy! :) Either way, we will be happy just as long as he/she is healthy. So far all the signs are leading to a boy other than the heart rate.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: My Columbia doctor apt. this week with Mike. There was some test results that didn't come back completely negative, so hopefully there is nothing to worry about.

Nursery

I think I will wait to post the whole nursery when it's officially done which will be once the baby is here. Going to wait with bedding items so I can get more specific; ballerina or all boy items! :) I have a few items when I was in dance class so I'm thinking of incorporating that into the baby room if we have a girl!

This baby plant holder was mine when I was a little girl. It's seen better days, been broken way too many times.

Mom always sang this song to me.
Part of the crib. Finally a crib with no cracks! We love it plus it converts to a toddler and full size bed so that's a huge plus!
Quilt Mike's grandma had started and his aunt finished it.

Can you believe this quilt is almost 28 years old? Looks brand new. Pretty sure I have a crochet purple, green and white one at mom and dads that looks brand new as well. So we're set if we have a girl.

Mr. & Mrs. Randy Holtmeyer

Yesterday turned out to be a perfect day weather wise. Rained held off at the right times for my brother-in-law's wedding. Here's a few pictures to share. Wish my camera would have worked better and if I would have took more pictures. Completely forgot to get a picture of Mike and I.

I'll post a 17 week picture later this evening since I was too sick last Sunday with a bug to do my 16 week update.

14 Weeks

How far along? 14 weeks to the day. As you can see no baby bed in this picture. It had a huge crack in it so we took it back. Ended up finding a really good deal for two dressers and a bed online. So it should be in within the next week or two. I know we have plenty of time to get one, but I don't like to procrastinate on things like this.
Total weight gain/loss: 2lbs. since my last appointment in March
Maternity clothes? Occasionally.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Still not sleeping the greatest.
Best moment this week: Got to see the 'little nugget' as Mike refers to the baby on the ultrasound. One good thing about seeing a high risk doctor, is you get to see the baby every time and more ultrasound pictures. :) We have quite the wiggle worm already! Crazy to think the baby is moving that much and I can't feel a thing just yet...
Miss Anything? Still the same as last time, sleeping on my belly.
Movement: Not yet.
Food cravings: Been eating lots of fruit lately. Not really sure if I had actually cravings yet?? Things I've posted in the prior weeks is what I had the most of that week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Smoke.
Have you started to show yet: Little bit. I still think it's still just fat and a lot of bloating since it varies day to day.
Gender: After seeing the profile picture on the ultrasound, I'm thinking boy! I think my mind goes back and forth every week. Still not going to find out until the delivery day!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Probably a little of both.
Looking forward to: Feeling the first baby movement.

12 Weeks

How far along? 12 weeks to the day
Total weight gain/loss: ??? Haven't been back to the doctor and don't have a scale at the house.
Maternity clothes? I do wear maternity jeans on those extra bloated days. Going to try to stay in my regular jeans for as much as possible.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Still not sleeping the greatest at all.
Best moment this week: Friday was the first day I actually felt normal, no dizziness, feeling nauseous, or super tired.
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my belly and Mountain Dew.
Movement: Not yet.
Food cravings: Been drinking a lot of hot green tea with a dab of sugar.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Toothpaste when brushing my teeth.
Have you started to show yet: As you can see in the picture, I have this week. I still think 50% of what you see is bloating and not baby belly. Granted this picture is after two Easter dinners today, which baby Holtmeyer received his/her first Easter basket from Grandma Holtmeyer. :)
Gender: Been thinking the baby is a girl here lately.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Probably a little of both.
Looking forward to: Same as last time, the next ultrasound to make sure the baby is okay.

Baby update

I've saw this on a blog I am following and thought I would do the same each week with a follow up picture of the baby bump; however, at the moment no pictures since I don't think my belly is considered a bump yet.  Just some major bloating full of spicy food.

How far along? 10 weeks to the day
Total weight gain/loss: Lost 3lbs.
Maternity clothes? I do own one pair of fat jeans... aka maternity jeans. They are so comfy, and work perfectly on those extra bloated days. I have three pairs of jeans I can still wear, usually with a pony tail holder looped around the button.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Lack of. Very tired, but sleep is not in my schedule at the moment. Usually get around 5-6 hours off and on throughout the night. I am a full-on belly sleeper, so this has been a difficult change for my body to get used to a new sleeping position. When Mike and I found out we were expecting, I had two dreams within the next two weeks where I miscarried. One was so surreal that it scared me to death. I literally woke up crying and clinching my stomach. Didn't realize it was a dream until I woke completely up. Hope that never happens again.
Best moment this week: Saw the baby moving around on the ultrasound.
Miss Anything? Sleep!
Movement: From the ultrasound we clearly have movement. As for me, no movement unless necessary. :)
Food cravings: Not a fan of sweets, I will eat them but not crazy for them. Love spicy food right now, especially mexican.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Dog food. Last week someone left the door open to the office causing the aroma of dog food to seep in. First time I felt like throwing up during pregnancy.
Have you started to show yet: Not that I am aware of. Some days I think I am, but I think it is just bloating as the next day my belly isn't as big.
Gender: As of right now, I feel the baby is a boy.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Not going to lie, I've been a little moody lately. :)
Looking forward to: The next ultrasound to make sure the baby is okay. Had a slight scare from my last ultrasound, but thankfully it's not something I should be too concerned with.

I'm back!

Well as you all can see in my previous post... Mike and I are expecting a little bundle of joy on October 13, 2013! We're very excited and so happy to finally tell our secret! It was the hardest secret to keep especially from our family.

We found out the morning of Superbowl Sunday. The day before I was extremely tired and ended up sleeping five hours during the day. I just assumed I was getting the flu that was going around as I felt a little lousy. Even went to bed early that night. When I woke up on Sunday, I was still tired. I thought to myself... what the heck I'll take a test. It's just going to be another negative test and was starting to realize that maybe it just wasn't in the cards for us. Always had in the back of my mind with my thyroid disease that it wouldn't be a possibility for us.

I began getting ready for church and almost forgot about the test. As I was throwing it in the trash as I saw a glimpse of two lines. I was shocked! I just knew it would be a negative.

...As of right now, we are sticking to our guns and not going to find out the gender.

...Boy name was easy for us, first name said out loud was the winner which I was very surprised Mike liked it so much. A girl name on the other hand is another story... very hard! At least we have time to decide. Not sure if we're going to share the names since we plan to use them regardless if we get the opposite gender in the future.

...Absolutely love my doctor, Dr. Su. She is so nice and I already feel like she is a good friend just after one visit.

...Unfortunately I am considered a high risk pregnancy due to my thyroid. So at 28 weeks I will be seeing a specialist every week until the baby is born. Sucks, but Dr. Su has no concerns and said everything looks like it's suppose to. Now I just need to make sure I take my thyroid medicine every morning, since it provides hormones to the baby that my body is lacking.

...Feeling very blessed to have my new job with excellent health care insurance. I would be paying a fortune with my old job.

...Mike has been a trooper. Not complained once. I think? lol He's been doing most of the cooking and laundry before I even get home from work. My house is a wreck and it's killing me that I don't care and don't feel like doing it. At least I'm nearing the second trimester. Bring on the household chores!!

...I really can't complain about being pregnant, just been the usual tired all the time and nauseous in the mornings.

First comes marriage...
