Thursday Ramblings

...I heard from my friend yesterday that Julia's hole in her heart has closed up and she's gaining weight. Great news! They will still need continued prayers as they have a long road ahead of them the next couple of months.

...Hard to believe as of today we are in the single digit countdown to the wedding! Excited. Nervous. Anxious. Antsy. Nervous. :)

...This weekend I plan to take full advantage Saturday and possibly sleep in. So looking forward to it!

...Rehearsal is this Sunday. So glad I decided to have it early. I knew my family would be driving an hour to get there. Just seemed like too much to have it back to back with it usually being on that Friday, the evening before the wedding. This way everyone can relax and enjoy themselves and better yet not have to work the next day!

...My last day at work before the wedding is Tuesday. Starting to rethink that decision and wonder why in the world I didn't take that day off as well. Oh well. I may post a little on Tuesday then I will be M.I.A. until the 18th! Will be JAMAICA BOUND! YA MON!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday
Got the rest of the wedding table decorations spray painted. Just as I got done, a few neighbors stopped by to visit. After about 10 when everyone left, Mike and I had supper. lol His grandma, Luebbert sent over some yummy vegetable beef soup.

Saturday
Went to Jeff to pick up the candle lighter dresses. Stopped in at Hobby Lobby for a few misc. wedding items then headed home. Spent the whole day doing wedding stuff and some cleaning in between times. Mike had his annual bowling dinner/meeting for the year so I fixed tuna salad for my supper. Not often I get this since Mike hates tuna. I have yet to change that! :)

Sunday
Went to church with Mike and Jr. At the last minute I opt out of going to communion. I know I can't receive it but I can place my hands across my chest and be blessed. Next time I may go up as I feel like an outcast sitting in the pew while everyone else is going up. :) After Easter next year I will be able to participate. Going to start my classes this October to become Catholic. This decision didn't come lightly, but more importantly I do feel closer to God and I don't want to have a mixed religion in my immediate family, when we have kids. After church, I fixed million dollar spaghetti from Pinterest with Mike's grandma, Luebbert's sauce recipe. Mom and dad came over to eat and brought some wedding stuff over. Everyone seemed to like it, I thought it seemed a little too rich with the cream cheese mixture added to it. It was good, but probably not a dish I'll fix again.

Thursday Ramblings

...Plan to buckle myself down this weekend and get everything for the wedding I can get done finished. Really there isn't too much more to do.

...Got our koozies over the weekend. I went ahead and gave dad and Chad one sent they were there when I opened them. Turkeys are using them already!!! lol

...So far my friends little girl, Julia is a fighter. Truly a miracle and I continue to pray for her that she keeps going strong. Going to be a long road ahead of them.

...I think my nerves have set in. I haven't been nervous at all until this week realizing how close the wedding is.

...My work is throwing me a bridal shower on Friday. Looking forward to the food, a lot of items on the list are off of Pinterest so they are sure to be delicious! :)

...I stayed two nights this week at mom and dads. Mostly because of road work, it's been ridiculous.  Just Monday I left 10-15 minutes earlier due to road construction and I was 20 minutes late for work! I hate being late. Plus it saved me a ton in gas this week. Trying to pinch every penny for the wedding and honeymoon.

...Mom had my dad make some wedding favors, they turned out really good despite by dad and brother's cutting abilities with a somewhat circle. lol  Wish I could share! :)

...So crazy to think in just 3 weeks I will be in Jamaica and a HUGE break from here! CANNOT WAIT! Oh and maybe for the wedding as well. :)

...Bet you all are counting down the days as well so my blog posts aren't always about the wedding! :)

...My brother, Todd saw a mountain lion on his way home through county roads Tuesday night. Sends chills down my spine. In my opinion those things do not need to be alive!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday
I had the day off. It was so nice, wish every weekend was three days. I spent the morning visiting with a friend and her new baby, Abigail. She is the sweetest and very alert and smiling about the whole time I was there. Headed to Jeff and stopped in at the hospital where Mike's cousin Jennifer had her baby girl, Isabella Rose. She was in a happy mood as well and I got a half smile from her just enough to show off her dimples. So it was a good baby visiting day. Stopped at Target and Hobby Lobby before heading to Victoria's for my last dress fitting. Dress fits perfect!

Isabella Rose. Her hair is more dark than shown in the picture. Look at that double chin! :)

That evening Mike fried fish out in our shed. Randy, Elizabeth, Jason and his son, Parker came over. By the end of the night so did the neighbors kids. Maybe we should start charging for daycare? lol I have no clue who they are and yet it didn't seem to bother them their kids were over at our house. Which we didn't mind, they're between the ages of 3-5. They roam the streets in town all day, every day and go home when it's dark. Just seems a little young to me to be out on your own and for that matter playing in the street where many drive too fast through. Makes me nervous!

Saturday
Headed to Vienna for a practice run on my hair. Went to mom and dads to show them and to visit. After I got home I saw online my friend had her baby 10 weeks early, Julia Faye weighing 1lb. 13 oz. I had just checked on her last week and she seemed to be doing good. She has been through so much the past two years, I pray Julia will pull through and be a healthy baby girl. So far, I'm assuming no news is good news!

That evening Mike, Randy and I headed to St. Anthony Truck and Tractor Pull. Good evening for it and it was nice to see a lot of people we don't get to see very often.

Sunday
Mike and I headed to mom and dads to eat and visit. They talked Mike into riding Chads horse, I was shocked he went for it. I on the other hand have no interest in it. I used to love riding horses, but I seen my brother get hurt way too many times and it done me in. They make me very nervous. Came home and cleaned the house then it was a lazy evening for me.

Weather

I have been checking daily at work for the past week or two the accu weather predictions for the wedding. Last week it said thunderstorms and humid. This week its sunshine! I hope and pray it stays that way for the wedding even though we need the rain really bad. It can rain the day before and day after September 8th. :)
