Tongue-tied Thursday
Most of my fellow bloggers have a wordless Wednesday where they post just a random picture. I think I'm going to start the same tradition with my blog only have it be on Thursdays, since I have my ramblings on Wednesdays. Which if any of you have noticed I failed to do that post yesterday. Work got the better half of me yesterday with typesetting legals so you will have to bare with me. Also bare with me for my witty blog title. I couldn't think of anything else similar that started with a "t" for Thursday.

Stuffed Pizza
Ingredients
3½ cups Bisquick Mix
1 jar of your favorite pizza sauce
approx. 3 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. Italian sausage (I used pepperoni instead)
3/4 cups cold water
Add any additional favorite pizza toppings, I added onions and green peppers
Preparation
First heat the oven to 450 degrees. Take a baking dish and grease it. Take a pan. Put the ground beef and sausage in it. Heat it until it gets brown. Drain out the excess fat and keep it aside. Take a bowl. Mix Bisquick and water to form dough. Divide the dough into 2 parts. 1st part should be slightly larger. Dust the baking mix or flour on flat surface and roll larger portion of dough on it. After rolling fold it into thirds places it in dish, unfold and press it on bottom. Sprinkle cheese over it and cover it with sauce add other toppings and meet again cover it with cheese. Roll the 2nd part of dough and then fold it into thirds. Place it over cheese in baking dish. Unfold it and press it. Seal together the edges of both crust top and bottom. On the top crust make a small slits, spread the remaining sauce and cheese on top crust. Bake it for about 20-25 minutes until it gets golden brown.
It's quick, it's easy and best of all delicious!

Weekend Recap
Friday I was exhausted from a long day at work so we just stayed home. Mike's brother came over and they put together our bar stools. I LOVE them. They're a black color which I know it doesn't match very well with the rest of my furniture. But to me, black goes with everything, plus I don't like everything to be the exact same. Gets boring! I will have to take a picture and post it sometime this week.
Saturday I got up early to get the house ready for a weekend with the Allen boys. Mike had to help his uncle at the turkey house that morning and part of the afternoon. Which ended up being okay. The boys and I were able to eat lunch and all three of us got a nap in. After putting Nathan asleep, Blake and I watched the Princess and the Frog. It was a cute movie and before I knew it we were both asleep in the recliner. When Mike arrived we loaded up to see the little turkeys. They were about three weeks old. Nathan seemed to be interested in them until Mike decided to pick one up and it starting flopping everywhere. Then he knew for sure he didn't like them and was ready to go. Blake was fine with them since it wasn't his first turkey experience. My camera lens became foggy due to the heat in there, so we didn't capture any photos. After we headed to Mike's mom and dads house where we stayed there and played while Mike helped his dad. I think if the boys had it their way they could have stayed there the rest of the evening. They had fun playing with their old farm toys, which by the way still look brand new! As we were leaving Nathan kept going "Arf, Arf Arf, Arf" to the cows, I remembered his mom telling me he's been saying "arf" for all the animals. Blake and I tried to get his to say moo, but all he could do was grin and say.... arf! lol We did get him to say gobble gobble for the turkeys, it was cute. For supper I made stuffed pizza from my Bisquick cookbook. It was very good, recipe to come in another post. Mike ate about half of the pan and both boys had a full serving. After supper Blake and I made brownies topped with cheesecake. He was pretty proud of himself for breaking the egg all by himself and stirring the rest of the ingredients in. Ended the rest evening playing with the boys.
Sunday was a lazy morning for all of us. Nathan was the first to go to bed and the last to get up. He's not a morning person and takes him awhile to wake up, which I feel the same way most of the mornings - okay, maybe every morning. ;) So we sat in the recliner, got warmed up, ate cheerios and watched Spongebob Squarepants. Later we loaded up and headed to my mom and dads so they can have some time with the boys. Mom fixed her usual dinner for Valentine's Day consisting of a heart-shaped meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, salad, which most were all in a heart shaped dish. For dessert she made half strawberry/half cherry delicious cake and chocolate chip cookies.

Wednesday Ramblings
- Well my car was clean as a whistle yesterday thanks to a local dealership for cleaning it for FREE when they serviced it. It's not looking to promising to keep it clean with this weather we are getting yet again. I know the roads will be very dirty and slushy come the end of this week. Oh well, at least the salt from last week is off and did I mention it was free? :)- This weekend I finally have the Allen boys. Been awhile, starting to forget what they look like. Not really... well maybe just a little. We have lots to squeeze in on Saturday afternoon like seeing turkeys, cows, etc.
- Mike's cousin who recently got married back in August is expecting. Looks like we're getting babies on both sides of our families, my cousin Krissi is pregnant as well. I believe I've posted about that a few weeks ago.
- Last week I broke down and bought a purse online. I've seen it at the Buckle for quite sometime. Had a coupon so I decided what the heck. It's rather large for what I am used to, but I like it. Plus mom finally got my purse that I've had for a YEAR. She's even offered to buy me a purse when we would go shopping just so she could have my old one. But I never found one I liked or one I could at least settle for.

Working Class
I've been recording this new show called Working Class on CMT. For those of you who watched the show Reba, it has Barbara Jean(aka Melissa Peterman) as the main character. Reminds me a lot of the show Reba, but with the roles reversed. Reba McEntire stars on the show every now and then as the ex-husbands' rich girlfriend. A good, clean, family comedy!
Weekend Recap
Friday I was finally home bound. I stayed the rest of last week with my mom and dad so I could make it to work due to the weather. It was good to be home. Spent the evening catching up on my shows and doing laundry while Mike bowled in his league up town.
Saturday Mike and I drove around for a bit to kill some time. Met up with his brother and girlfriend. Made some rounds on the gravel road and ended up visiting some friends and their little boy the rest of the afternoon. That evening we headed to Kitty's to eat supper then eventually headed home. A good unplanned day for once!
Sunday was the big day... Superbowl. Got a few things done around the house then headed to Mike's mom and dads for dinner. Spent the rest of the afternoon/evening at Randy and Elizabeth's playing cards and watching the Superbowl. Halftime show was horrible in my opinion, but at least the Packers won! :)
Our weekend was a slow steady one, which was a good thing. So nice to not really have any major plans for once.

Wednesday Ramblings
The month of February there is big plans, here is just a few to share...- Going with my mom and a friend Shelley to St. Louis to see none other than REE DRUMMOND!!! She is having a book signing. If you know nothing about this amazing woman, you can check out her blog here.
- Got a new phone this week. I'm not into high tech/expensive phones, but I did buy a Blackberry Curve online for around $40. I love it! So much of an upgrade from my puny Sony Ericsson I had.
- Shopping trip planned for the Lake.
- A weekend planned with my favorite little boys, Blake and Nathan.
- First month free of no painting! Well I say free, but there is still tons of touch ups to do. I think they can wait! ;)
- Hopefully this is the LAST month this winter with snow fall. I am so tired of it!
Cheeseburger Bake
As most of you know Mike is not a big veggie eater. I have been slipping a few vegetables here and there into the food I make in hopes that it will go down with the rest of whatever he is eating. As far as I know he still doesn't know of my mission :) Mom gave me a Bisquick recipe book for Christmas so I thought I would try a recipe out. As I was flipping through it I saw this recipe for Quick Cheeseburger and Vegetable Bake. I thought this may be just the ticket for an easy dinner/lunch for me and more vegetables for Mike. I'm slowly broadening his food horizons. Although he did mention to not tell his family about all the different foods he has been eating and to his surprise liking. Shhh readers! This will be our little secret. ;)
The Bisquick cookbook showed this served with ketchup and pickles. Well Mike dislikes ketchup and isn't a fan of pickles, so I didn't test the food horizons too much. I didn't add the frozen vegetables, I only used onions and green peppers in mine. Guess I wasn't broadening his food horizons too much with this recipe. I determined that I like using Bisquick. The crust was crispy and had a nice flavor. I will be making this again along with more recipes to come. Who doesn't like a quick and easy recipe? Next on our list is a deep dish pizza.

Weekend Recap
Friday I took the day off from work so I headed to Jeff to do a little shopping. Found two shirts for work, but still NO PURSE. That evening friends met up with us at our house to head to the concert for Jason Aldean. We had plenty of time to eat supper so we stopped at Coltons Steakhouse. We was told the wait would be 15 minutes so that wasn't bad. Well it ended up being about 30-40 with another 20 minutes of waiting on the food, therefore, leaving with us with about 5 minutes to scarf our food down. Never ate so fast in my life! To our surprise it didn't make any difference on the time. We would have been to the concert on time if it wasn't for the traffic! We waited a little over an hour in traffic in just a mile stretch. So we, along with everyone else stuck in traffic missed an hour + of the concert. Both Eric Church and Jason Aldean put on a good concert so it was well worth the wait.
Saturday was a lazy day for me. Tried a new recipe for lunch, which turned out very good. Recipe to come in another post. That evening we went to the bowling alley where Mike had to bowl in a tournament.
Sunday I headed to Vienna to meet my mom. We watched a scrimmage game that my cousin, Ashlyne was playing in. Which by the way they won. :) I was very shocked at how the other team's coach treated their players because they were losing. It was horrible and I was embarrassed for their team. It just a game and winning isn't everything. Later mom and I went to a birthday party for my cousin's little girl, Kieren. That evening mom made Sunday dinner consisting of homemade chicken pot pie. Headed home, did some laundry and went to bed early.
